All About Popularity
The Basics
At the end of every business day, your popularity as a business will increase or decrease. How much it does is determined by your performance. On any day there are a certain number of cups you could sell based on the customers that walk by your stand. Of those, how many you actually end up selling, is a good indicator of your performance. If you sell out of product, have a bad recipe, or price too high, you may end up losing popularity. The more time you spend making sure you evaluate, understand, and meet your customer expectations, your popularity will skyrocket.
Levels of Popularity
As your popularity increases, you will achieve milestones which are indicated on your end-of-day report. There are 3 levels of popularity and as you pass each level, you will receive a permanent boost to your traffic as well as the max price a customer will spend (as long as you maintain that level).
What About News/Weather?
Your popularity is based on your performance. It is not necessarily punished by forces outside your control such as weather. On poor weather days, you will experience a drop in traffic, but how your performance is evaluated remains the same. You can still gain popularity even when it's raining.
