Research - Surveys and Focus Groups

No More Guessing
If you're new to the game or are having difficulty figuring out why people aren't buying your lemonade, it may be time for research. Just like in real business, you need to go to your customers to find out what they like about your product and what they don't like. This kind of feedback is invaluable in business and it may prove so here. At any point in the game, you can open the Research panel. You will have a couple of options in terms of the information you can uncover. They are described below.

Cost
Pricing SurveyConduct a survey of 100 customers (25 from each age group) on the maximum price they would pay for a cup of lemonade given all current conditions. You will receive a report of each age group and the average amount members of that group would spend. Use this to find the best pricing for your product. $35
Taste Focus GroupConduct a focus group of 40 customers (10 from each age group). They will be given a sample of your current lemonade with your current recipe taste, temperature, and quality. They will then be instructed to indicate whether they would buy it or not. The price of your lemonade is NOT factored into this focus group. They are only evaluating the lemonade. You will receive a report indicating how many customers from each age group said 'Yes' to your lemonade and how many said 'No'. This will provide instant market feedback on your product and allow you to make any changes necessary to help succeed.$35
